DESCENT INTO HELL

A JD PICKENS MYSTERY

Life in the countryside is full of peaceful moments. However, peaceful doesn’t always mean safe.

The citizens of rural Creek City, Florida, find this out the hard way when a serial killer wreaks havoc on their community. County Sheriff J. D. Pickens and his small team of deputies rush to follow every lead, but all they find are more bodies.

Though the identity of the murderer is a mystery, the murders appear to be retribution for a perceived injustice. Just as Pickens exhausts the last clue, key details from an old case bring him within inches of solving the case. In a panic, the killer threatens Pickens and his family, triggering a feverish race against time and madness.

Five Stars – Readers’ Favorite:

“Descent Into Hell is a riveting thriller by George Encizo. Having read the novel, I am more informed about the differences between a sociopath and a psychopath and think the killer was really unstable. It’s a very suspenseful story containing characters who were able to make themselves seen and heard throughout the plot with action and dialogue. It took some time for me to figure out who the killer was and I was surprised. Pickens is a devoted family man; he possesses humour, and takes his work seriously. George Encizo is an author who expressed himself wonderfully with fluent, descriptive writing. I like the cover illustration for the book, which I really enjoyed reading.”  ***** Michelle Stanley for Reader’s Favorite.
